First thing today we will be taking notes Ch.9 section 2 notes.  Then we will be reading pgs. 287-290 pg. 287-290.  The rest of the period will be spent watching Crash Course History and answering a few questions.

Thursday Feb. 26 2015

First thing today we will be taking notes on Ch.9 Section 1 notes.  Then we will read pgs. 284-286 pg. 284-286 as a class.   The last part of the period we will begin working on our Ch.9 Timelines which will be next Friday March 6. Timeline Examples Requirements Timeline

Wednesday Feb. 25

We have a slightly different schedule today due to career day.   So each class period will only be 30 minutes long.  We will be turning in several assignments Ch.9 Quiz 1 and Ch.9 Vocab.   The last part of the period we introduce our Timeline Project for Ch.9.

Monday and Tuesday Feb. 22 and Feb. 23

Monday Feb. 23

First thing on Monday students will be taking Ch.9 pre-test.   Then students will be reading pgs. 278-282 pgs. 278-282 as a class.  Then students will spend the rest of the period working on Ch.9 Quiz 1 wks. which will be due on Wed. along with Ch.9 Vocab.  Ch.9 Quiz 1

Tuesday Feb. 24

Students will spend most of the period taking a citizenship test.  It will be due at the end of the period.   Citizenship Test

Thursday and Friday Feb. 19 and Feb. 20

Thursday Feb. 19

First thing we will turn the "Forms of Government" wks.   Then the rest of the period will be spent reading pgs. 265-268 pg. 265-268 as a class.  If there is anytime left we will spend that reviewing for the test on Ch.8 tomorrow.

FRIDAY FEB. 20

Today we will be taking Ch.8 test.  The rest of the period students will spend working on Ch.9 vocabulary  Ch.9 Vocab which will be due on Wed.

Wednesday Feb. 18 2015

Today first thing we will be correcting HW from yesterday.   We will then take notes on Ch.8 Sec.3.   The rest of the period will be spent working on an assignment that looks at different forms of government.

Monday Feb. 17th 2015

Today we will be watching a short video on the different branches of government.  Then as a class we will be reading pgs. 262-264 pg. 262-264.  Then the rest of the period will be spent working on Ch.8 Quiz 3 and 4 due tomorrow Ch.8 Quiz 3 and 4.

Much of the period will be spent working on the Electoral College Map which will be due tomorrow. The other part of the period will be spent working on Constitutional Bingo Wks.  Constitution Bingo.
This is also due tomorrow.  

Friday Feb. 13

Today first thing we will be correcting the Constitution Bingo paper.  Then students will be handing in their entry task and their electoral college map.  The rest of the period will be spent taking notes on Ch.8 Sec.2 which will include a couple short video clips.

Today first thing we correcting the HW from yesterday.   Then we be watching a video that describes how electoral college works.   Then students will spend the of the period working on an electoral college wks  Electoral College due on Friday!

Tuesday February 10, 2015

Today first thing we will be correcting yesterdays homework.  Then we will take notes on Ch.8 Section 1.   The rest of the period will be spent working Constitution Quiz Constitution Quiz and Ch.8 Section 2 Guided Reading Ch.8 Section 2.   Both will be due tomorrow.

Monday February 9, 2015

First today we will be reading pgs. 248-251 pg. 248-251 as a class.  Then the rest of the class period will be spent working on Ch.8 Quiz 1 and the Vocabulary Crossword Ch.8 Quiz 1/ Crossword.  Both papers will be due tomorrow.

Thursday Feb. 5 and Friday Feb. 6

Today most of the period will be spent listening to student presentations.   The rest of the period will be spent working on a worksheet called "You Decide You Decide".  It will be due at the end of the period.  

Friday Feb. 6
Today students will be in the computer lab working on government scavenger hunt.  It will be due at the end of period.

Today most of the period will be spent working on our Bill Rights Mural which will be due tomorrow.  There will be no time given tomorrow.   Students will be presenting their projects to class tomorrow.

I apologize about this being posted late.   Both of our administrators were out sick today so I was fill-in principal on Monday was unable to post until today.   First thing students will be watching a video on the first five amendments.

Today first thing we will be correcting Ch.8 Vocab which was assigned last Friday.   Then we will watch a short video on amendments 6-10.   

Then students will take Ch.8 Pre-Test.  The last twenty minutes of class students will continue working on their Bill or Rights Mural it will be due on Thursday.
