Tuesday and Wednesday
On these two days we were outside shooting a  replica Civil War cannon.  This was a wonderful hands on learning experience for our students.

Today is the last day to turn in late and missing assignments.   Today we will be watching the History of US Civil War.

Wednesday May 21

Today we will be reading pgs. 492-496.  Then students will get the wks. Battle of Bull Run and Battle of Antiem.   Both of these wks. are due on Friday.

Thursday May 22

Today students will be reading pgs. 496-499.   After reading those pgs. students will be working on A Soldiers Life and the 54th Mass. Reg.  wks due on Friday.

Monday May 19, 2014

Today we will be turning in Ch.15 and Ch.16 vocab along the Missouri Compromise Wks/Dred Scott Wks.  The permission slips Permission Slip for the cannon firing will also be going out today.   Then we will start looking at the roles each individual will have during the cannon firing next Tuesday and Wednesday. Cannon Crew.   We also be watching a couple short video clips on how the cannon firing will go.   Important Web Site.  After this we will be working on Ch.17 vocabulary Ch.17 Vocabulary.

Thursday May 15 2014

Today as class we will be reading pgs. 460-466 and discussing the Missouri Compromise Missouri Compromise and the Compromise of 1850.  Then I will pass out the wks. Missouri Compromise and Ch.15 and Ch.16 Ch.15 and Ch.16  vocabulary which are both due on Monday.  As students are working on these assignments we will be watching the video History of US (Division).

Wednesday May 14 2014

Today students will be correcting Ch.14 Quiz 3 and Quiz 4.  We will then be reading pgs. 439-442.   Then we will watch a short video on the history of slavery.

Today we will be reading pgs. 418-426.  We also be correcting the homework from yesterday Vocabulary Ch.14 along with Ch.14 Quiz 1 and 2.   Then the class will have about ten minutes to work on Ch.14 Quiz 3 and 4 Ch.14 Quiz 3 and Quiz 4.  

Monday May 12, 2014

Today as a class we will be reading pgs. 408-417.  pg. 408-411    pg. 413-417.   After completing this reading students will be working on Ch.14 Quiz 1 and 2 Ch.14 Quiz 1 and 2 which is due tomorrow.   If students finish that wks. they can finish up their CH.14 Vocabulary Ch.14 Vocabulary.

Today we will be watching the final of the Oregon Trail series.  This should be the final wks. that they need to complete for their packet that is due to TOMORROW FRIDAY MAY 9.   The rest of the period will be spent reviewing for the test that is tomorrow.

Wednesday May 7, 2014

Today we will take notes on Ch.13 Section 4.  Then we will read pgs. 398-402 Pgs. 398-402,  Then we will spend the rest of the period finishing up our packets which are due Friday May 9.

Tuesday MAY 6, 2014

Today students will be taking notes on Chapter 13 Sections 2 and 3.  If you missed the notes please get the notes from a friend or refer to Ch.13 power point notes.  After we take notes then students will then have time to work on their packets.  If they are caught up on the packets they will be playing Oregon Trail on the computers.

Monday May 5, 2014

At the start of period we will be watching Oregon Trail Part 3.   After watching video we will read pgs. 394-397 394-397.  The rest of the period will be spent working on their packets.  Which will be due on Friday.  There is also a test on Friday.

Today students will be turning in their entry task then we will be headed outside to participate in our 11th annual Mountain Man games.

Thursday MAY 1 2014

Today students will be reading pgs. 391-393 391-393.  After the reading and discussing those pages students will then watch Oregon Trail Series Part 2.  There are questions from their packet that go with this.   There will also be quiz following all four parts.  The last minutes of class students will be working the wks from their packet Ch.13 Quiz 3 front and back.  Packet is due May 9th.
