Tuesday April 29th and Wednesday April 30th 2014

Tuesday
First we will finish the movie Jermiah Johnson then we read pgs 385-386 pgs385-386. Then students will have the rest of the period to work on their Mountain Man poster from their packet.

WEDNESDAY
Today we will read pgs.387-389 pgs. 387-38 then we watch Oregon Trail Part 1. The remaining part of the period students will be working on their Alamo wks. from the packet.

Monday April 28 2014

Today students will start working on their on Mountain Man poster from their packet. As they work on their poster we will be watching Jermiah Johnson video.  We will finish all but about ten minutes of the video today.  We will finish it tomorrow.  Just a reminder that packet is due May 9th.  

Friday April 25th 2014

Today students will turn in their weekly entry task.  After turning in their entry task we will read as a class a reading on fur trapping and then answer questions that go along with it Ch.13 Packet (handout and questions in the packet). Then we will be watching Jeremiah Johnson and answer questions.

Thursday April 24, 2014

Today students will first read pgs.382-384.  After that students will complete Ch.13 Quiz 1.  Then as a class we will begin watching Jeremiah Johnson.

Wednesday April 23, 2014

Today students will take Ch.13 Pretest.  Then as a class we will be reading pgs. 380-181.  After students will receive their Ch.13 packet that will be due May 9th.   No exceptions.

Monday April 21, 2014

Today students will be finishing up their 4 Square projects along with their packets which will be due tomorrow.   Along with this students will also be watching the rest of the movie "I Will Fight No More Forever".

Friday April 18th 2014

Today students will be working on their 4 square projects along with the Ch.11 and Ch.12 vocabulary which will be due on Tuesday.   While students are working the movie "I Will Fight No More Forever" will be playing.  

Thursday April 17 2014

Today first thing as a class we will scan pgs. 336-341 pgs. 336-341 looking for improvements or inventions that took place the Industrial Revolution.   Then the rest of the period students will be working on their 4 square projects or Ch.11 and Ch.12 vocabulary.   Also during this time I will be showing a video showing how the Nez Perce were forced onto the reservation.  The video is called, " I Will Fight No More Forever"

Wednesday April 16th 2014

First thing today students will be reading pgs. 330-335 pg. 330-335.  After completing the reading students will then be introduced to the 4 Square project which will be due next Tuesday.   For the 4 Square Project students will be required to draw and color 4 inventions or improvements from 1791 to 1804.  Then on the back students will be required to write about the new inventions.  For more details please refer to the packet.  

Tuesday April 15th 2014

Today students will be taking Chapter 10 test.   As always students have the option to re-take test before school or after school.  After completing test students will have a few minutes to finish last weeks packet and map.  Then students will being the Ch.11 and Ch.12 packet Ch.11 and 12 Contract/Packet which will be due next Tuesday April 22.  

Monday April 14th

Today students will be completing their packets Packets April 7th -April 15th and their War of 1812 maps Map of 1812.  Both of these will be due at the end of the period on Tuesday April 15th.

Thursday April 10, 2014

Today we will take notes on Ch.10 section 3 after that students will watch a video on the War of 1812.   The questions for the video are in the packet they received on Monday.  

Tuesday and Wednesday April 8th and 9th

First of all sorry there was no post yesterday.  I was at home with a sick kid.   On Tuesday as a class we read pgs. 316-319 Pages 316-319.  We also read a journal entry from Lewis and Clark.   After that students spent the rest of the period working on their contracts they received on Monday.  Students should be completing wks. 10.4.

Today Wednesday April 9th students will be responsible to read pgs. 320-235 pgs. 320-325 .  Then students will spend the rest of the period working on their contract.  They should be focusing in on Wks. 10.5 and the Jackson Trap Map.

Monday April 7, 2014

Today students will be taking notes on Ch.10 Section 2.  Then we will read pgs. 312-315 Pgs. 312-314 as a class.  Then since we start SBAC scheduling tomorrow we will be doing things slightly different.   Students will be receiving a contract and required to complete different parts of it each day.  This contract will be due next Monday Contract Ch.10.
