Using the examples and notes studied in class, choose four of the following
questions to answer
Geography:
Describe the climate in which you live. Compare your climate with at
least two other climate areas of the United States.
Native of Americans:
Choose three Native American cultures.
Explain how the climate and the resources influenced their culture, include
housing, dress and any other adaptation you can think of.
Age of Columbus: Explain how the voyages of Columbus and the Columbian
Exchange marked a turning point in the history of the Americas. Include details
from the chapter in your explanation.
The Colonies:
Choose one colony from each of the following regions: New England, the
Middle Colonies, and the Southern Colonies. Compare and contrast life in these
three colonies.
Trouble in the Colonies:
Choose one of the following laws: the Sugar Act, the Stamp Act, or the
Townshend Acts. Suppose that you are a mediator between the colonists and the
British government. Write a short report that explains each side’s position
with regard to that law and suggests an acceptable.
Trouble in the Colonies:
Colonists based their opposition to the actions of the British
Parliament on principles that they believed violated their rights as British
citizens. Explain how each of the following acts violated citizens’ rights,
according to the colonists: the Stamp Act, writs of assistance, the Quartering
Act.
Revolutionary War:
Several factors contributed to the Patriot victory in the Revolutionary
War. Choose the three factors that you consider most important to the American
victory, and explain how each one affected the war’s outcome.
